Man On The Street: Day 1 at Pitchfork

Pitchfork Day 1

By Ryan Gleason

Alright!! So Friday at Pitchfork was fantastic! Pleasantly impressed (almost) all the way around…

Lower Dens performed admirably despite brutal humidity and a crowd still filtering in..

Japandroids showcased that primal RockNFuckinRoll element that can’t be learned in a spirited and well received set!

A$AP Rocky are pure shit.. 15 dudes on the stage, not one legit MC among them 🙁

The Olivia Tremor Control, a band I skimmed over in their “heyday” played a fun, eclectic set.

Dirty Projectors quirky yet melodic riffs and vocal acrobatics were outstanding..

Closer and semi-star Feist displayed a preternatural command over the stage whether rocking out, harmonizing hauntingly with her terrific backup singer posse or being out and out silly 🙂 Very impressed by her set!

Looking forward to today’s tune-age!
